Running a large company is kind of like running a marathon: Both require diligence, commitment, work ethic and strategy.
Carol is a firm believer in the power of individuals to make a difference in the world. As someone who is passionate about this topic, she often talks at great lengths about people who have become game-changers, regardless of their background. She is widely recognised for her strong motivation to see people excel and thrive and is dedicated to matching the right person with the right opportunity.
Commencing her HR journey as a HR Graduate Program with KFC Restaurants in the mid 1990’s and transitioning operations, employee relations specialisation to holding a number of HR Director roles with some of most well-respected brands. Two decades later, Carol continues to be a significant player in helping businesses transform their HR operations and impact. Carol has acted as a mentor to countless leaders especially in start-ups and entrepreneurs and has built an impressive network of contacts. She is widely regarded as an influential figure in the industry.
Tell us about yourself
First and foremost, I’m a wife and a mum. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and we have three children, Jacob (24), Claire (16) and Benjamin (14). On a professional level, I’m an experienced CEO and HR Coach.
What motivates you?
I’m driven by results through people and a sense of fair play and good ethics – it’s been at the core of my work since the beginning of my career.
I’m also deeply driven by innovation and thinking differently about how we can solve complex people problems.
How would you describe yourself?
Calm, competitive and relentlessly positive.
